Meet the Foxes

Flinty
Flinty was born in captivity and raised by humans. He was kept as a pet his whole life until his humans could sadly no longer take care of him. He was then moved around from pillar to post to different rescue centres, none of which wanted to keep him. That’s when we stepped in. Another rescue asked us to take him. He can’t be released into the wild as he’s too tame and has no survival skills. Plus he enjoys his dog food and treats too much. We custom built a huge enclosure for Flinty with an indoor and outdoor area. He’s very nervous and doesn’t like strangers but we’re hoping that will change once he realises he’s safe. Every night he does zoomies round his enclosure and goes mad, leaping and jumping onto all the different shelves and branches that are in there. We love watching him do it!! He’s very shy but you can see he just wants to be loved. He’s the most handsome fox we ever did see and we are really enjoying earning his trust and seeing him happy.

Adam
Adam came to us from another fox rescue centre. This particular centre takes in orphaned and injured babies and hand rears them. They have a specialist ICU unit for foxes. Adam came in as a baby at the same time as Alek and he was very poorly. Alek had a brain injury so he was in an even worse state. Adam quickly became Alek’s carer and Alek relies on him to always be by his side. They both became totally tame throughout the long months of rehab and now depend upon humans. Plus Alek can’t be released because of his brain injury. We took both boys to make way for the fox rescue to take in more orphans and injured foxes. They will stay with us for life. Adam is SO friendly and loves a stroke all over. He will literally nuzzle up to you and ask for strokes. Everyone loves him as he’s usually the first fox anyone meets that they can actually stroke. Adam is such a good boy and so loving. He always has one eye on Alek to make sure he’s ok and they often snuggle up together. We are obsessed.
